Jessica Yonkers is excited to announce the hiring of
Elexia Fuentes as the new Softball head coach for the 2026 season. Elexia is stepping into the role after serving as the Cornerstone Softball graduate assistant and JV coach from the 2025 season.
Coach Fuentes has a vast level of experience in the game of softball with four years of coaching at Travel Ball with the Michigan Storm. She also played college ball at Northwood University for three years as a catcher before joining the Golden Eagles last year.

Coach Fuentes brings a deep love for the game, a strong ability to develop student-athletes, and a clear vision for building a Christ-centered team culture. Her leadership, energy, and commitment to excellence align beautifully with our mission, and we're excited to see the impact she'll have on our student-athletes both on the field and in their personal growth."
Coach Lex had this to say when asked about the opportunity, "I am honored and blessed to take over a program that is built on a firm foundation and rooted deeply in faith. I am incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to build onto this program and continue to pour into our student-athletes. This program's passion to compete, combined with the need to have Christ at the center through it all, is a legacy I am excited to carry on and push further. I can't wait to see the ways God continues to work through us this year as we lead these young women on the field. As we go forward, we will continue to challenge the team and pursue excellence in all we do. Together, we will compete with purpose, glorify God through our efforts, and continue to build on the culture of faith, grit, and unity. I am humbled by the opportunity to guide these athletes as they chase their dreams and become leaders."
