Last Season Recap
Men's Volleyball finished last season with a 22-8 (13-3) record. The Golden Eagles went on to finish second in the WHAC behind Lawrence Tech who went 16-0 in conference play. Cornerstone started their season off strong with eight straight wins including wins against the #4, #12 and #14 ranked teams. CU earned the second seed in the WHAC tournament but lost in the first round to #RV Lourdes. 
 
A look at the WHAC
Cornerstone is slated to finish fifth in the WHAC according to the preseason poll. Lawrence Tech was voted to win the conference with Bethel and Indiana Tech rounding out the top three. 
 
Scouting Missouri Valley
Missouri Valley begins the season as the #5 ranked team in the nation. MVC went 22-5 and 17-2 in their conference. Missouri Valley lost to Ottawa in the Heart Conference Quarterfinal but earned a national tournament bid. In Cedar Rapids Missouri Valley lost to Lawrence Tech and Saint Xavier in pool play.

Scouting Benedictine Mesa
Benedictine Mesa will come into the season as the #10 ranked team in the country and will face Aquinas and Indiana Tech before their match with Cornerstone. The Redhawks had an 18-7 overall record last year and went 7-3 in the GSAC. BU lost to Hope International in the first round their conference tournament but earned a bid to the national tournament. In Cedar Rapids the Redhawks went 1-1 with a loss to Saint Xaiver and a won over Grand View.
