Shepard, Mich. – The rain battered down but held off just before the opening of the Jeff Drenth Memorial race, hosted by Central Michigan University. Women's Cross Country finished at the Jeff Drenth Memorial 5K, placing fourth overall with seven of their runners finishing in the top 25, beginning the 2026 season. Jacie Krampe led the way for the Golden Eagles with an 11th place finish, with a time of 18:36.7, 15 seconds faster than 12th place behind her. Adelin Patterson cracked the top 15 with a time of 18:50.1, while Gracelin Martin, Kylie Sailor and Aliz Pusztai rounded out the top five Cornerstone runners as the team finished fourth overall. 

The Golden Eagles look ahead to the end of September, as they compete at the Gans Creek Classic on the 25th at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, MO.
