High School - Sara has played on the varsity soccer team for three years at Cedar Springs High School. She was voted All-Conference and All-District in 2008 and 2009. She played club soccer for Grand Rapids Crew last year. She has also participated in tennis and volleyball in high school. She received the Captain's award in tennis

Sara has done very well in the classroom. She had the highest GPA of all athletes at Cedar Springs.. She is the Vice President in the National Honor Society. She was Academic All-State as an athlete. She received Highest Honors in all 4 years of high school. She has also been involved in many extracurricular activities. She has been a part of the Advance Drama Team. She received District and State Solo & Ensemble awards in singing. She plays guitar and piano and is a part of her church worship team. She organized a service project at CSHS called "Pennies for Patients" and raised almost $1000.00 in loose change for leukemia patients.
