Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – On a night in which over 800 people surrounded the CU soccer field in support of the men's team and the night of nets fundraiser, the Golden Eagles got the lone goal of the match from freshman Casey Zimmerman as they downed Siena Heights 1-0. The victory lifts the team to 3-5-1 on the year and 1-0-1 in league play. CU will host Concordia on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Sophomore goalkeeper Nick Hopkins finished with four saves to post his third straight shutout between the posts and Casey Zimmerman came up with the lone goal to help Cornerstone extend their unbeaten streak to four matches.
The play went back and forth for the first 35 minutes but as CU upped their pressure, they finally broke through in the 40' when Zimmerman took a pass from Tristan Esprit to beat the keeper on his low left side.
The score held up until halftime and then for all of the second half as the Saints only mustered eight total shots (four on net). CU finished the night with nine shots (six on goal).
The Golden Eagles will stay at home on Saturday when they will host Concordia University at 7 p.m. in a match following the women's that begins at 4:30 p.m.
