GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Leading by only five at halftime, the No. 10 ranked men's basketball team turned it up a notch in the second to cruise to an 82-61 win over Indiana Tech. The victory, which is the fourth straight for CU, lifts the Golden Eagles to 13-4 on the season and 7-2 in the WHAC. CU will be at home once again on Saturday when they welcome Marygrove College to Mol Arena for a 3 p.m. tip.

Game Flow
Cornerstone, which moved up to No. 10 in the latest NAIA DII Top-25 poll on Tuesday, tried everything they could to pull away from the visiting Warriors in the first half but IT hung around in trailing by only five (38-33) at the break. A trio of three-pointers and a solid 10-11 from the foul line kept Tech within striking distance

The Golden Eagles then came out with much more energy and used a 19-4 run that covered 4:50 of game clock to increase the lead from seven to 22. The run was ended by senior Ty Mason (SR/Comstock Park, Mich.) who made a pair of free-throws on a technical foul and then had a three-point play as CU gained possession of the ball after the technical. CU then cruised to their sixth straight win over the Warriors.

Say What?
"We came out with a lot more energy and really moved the ball in the second half. To only have one turnover while getting 11 assists, it really shows the unselfishness of this team" – Head coach Kim Elders
