GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone faced their toughest opponent of the season on Saturday afternoon as the Racers of Northwestern Ohio posted a 4-0 win on CU's home pitch. UNOH, ranked No. 6 in the latest NAIA Top-25 poll, was held in check for the opening 45 minutes with just one goal but rallied for three in the second to drop the Golden Eagles to 5-6-1 on the year and 3-1-1 in league action.



Game Flow…
Northwestern Ohio put in nine goals in the their latest triumph over Siena Heights last Wednesday but the Cornerstone defense was up for the task in the opening 45 minutes and it was not until the 39' that a loose ball got hit home for the Racers that put them up 1-0 at the break.

UNOH then tallied three more in the closing half (all from the 57' until the 63') as Cornerstone was unable to any offense going other than three shots in the first half and a pair in the second half of which two were on goal.

-    The Racers marked the highest ranked opponent for CU since they played No. 2 Davenport last season
-    Caleb Colp (SO/Stevensville, Mich.) and Ryan Briggs (SR/Muskegon, Mich.) had the only two shots on goal for the Golden Eagles
-    Thomas Bowes (SO/Grand Rapids, MIch.) posted two saves in net
