Game Flow…
Defense was the story throughout the match on Wednesday night as neither offense could create anything special for much of the 90 minutes. LTU and CU each had chances in the first half but the keepers came up with some nice saves as CU's Nick Hopkins (JR/Ada, Mich.) finished with seven and LTU's Joey Knoff with two.
Knoff's only two saves on the night came with just under 10 minutes to play when CU peppered him with a shot from Caleb Colp (SO/Stevensville, Mich.) that was deflected and then a header from Diego Bobadilla in which he made a diving save to keep the match scoreless.
Then with just over two minutes to play, LTU was whistled for a pushing foul in the box which resulted in a PK for Bobadilla an the senior put it away for the eventual match winner.
