GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Joey Blauwkamp (SO/Grandville, Mich.) came off the bench to score 15 points and he was one of four Golden Eagles to finish in double-figures to lead CU to an 85-66 win over Siena Heights. The victory lifts No. 7 Cornerstone to 22-5 on the season and 16-3 in league play. CU hits the road on Saturday to face Marygrove College in a 3 p.m. tip in Detroit.

Game Flow
The visitors from Siena Heights are playing for their playoff lives and it was evident early as the jumped out to a 15-8 lead thanks to some strong shooting. That lead would be short-lived however as Cornerstone used an 11-1 run over three minute span and the lead grew into eight at the break. Kyle Steigenga (FR/Holland, Mich.) led CU with 15 points at the break.

After Siena Heights stayed within eight at 42-34, CU exploded with a 10-0 run finished off with five straight points from Cory Cox (SO/Flushing, Mich.) and a dunk from Steigenga forcing SHU into a timeout. That lead continued to expand and after a triple from Ben Lanning (JR/Grandville, Mich.) and four straight points from Ty Mason (SR/Comstock Park, Mich.), CU upped the margin to 25 at 68-43 in route to the 19-point win.
