Game Flow
After beating Marygrove by 43 points in the first matchup in early January, the Golden Eagles struggled to find rhythm in the second meeting. The Mustangs used a great shooting start to hold a slim lead with just under five minutes to play in the first half but Cornerstone rallied to score the final 12 points of the half to lead 52-42.
That run continued into the early parts of the second as the margin grew to 21 for the Golden Eagles and the closest Marygrove would get for the remainder of the game would be 13 with 8:12 to play.
