8-1 win puts women’s tennis at 2-1 in WHAC

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After seeing their three match winning streak ended by Davenport on Wednesday evening, the women's tennis team rebounded in a big way with an 8-1 victory over Indiana Tech. The win lifts the Golden Eagles to their fourth win of the season and vaults them to 2-1 in league play. CU will face Concordia on Monday looking for their fifth win in the last six matches.

Doubles Highlights: Cornerstone won all three doubles matches highlighted by an 8-5 win from Heidi Boesl (JR/Coos Bay, Ore.) and Ashley Greene (JR/Rockford, Mich.).

Singles Highlights: Singles play saw the Warriors get one point at the top while Allison Rusticus (SR/Byron Center, Mich.) won her match at No. 2, 6-2, 6-2.

What's Next? The Golden Eagles will return to action on Monday against WHAC Newcomer Concordia. The match will be played at Davenport's Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex.
