GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The women's tennis team entered their match with No. 15 Davenport on Wednesday riding a 3-match winning streak but the Panthers put a quick end to that with a 9-0 win at the MVP-Crahen Tennis Center. The loss drops the Golden Eagles to 1-1 in league play as they will host Indiana Tech on Saturday at NorthPointe Christian HS.

Doubles Highlights: The Panthers, who have won the last three WHAC regular season championships, took a commanding 3-0 lead after the doubles portion with an 8-0 win at No. 1 and a pair of 8-1 wins in the other two.

Singles Highlights: Davenport then took the first two matches in straight sets by not dropping a single game in singles to clinch the match. DU went on to win all six singles matches in straight sets with Ashley Greene (JR/Rockford, Mich.) picking up two games in the opening set at No. 4 singles.

What's Next? The Golden Eagles will return to action on Saturday at NorthPointe Christian High School when they play host to Indiana Tech in a WHAC matchup. The doubles portion is set to begin at 1 p.m.
