GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Garrett Nimmo (JR/Livonia, Mich.) put away a rebound off of a Caleb Colp (SO/Stevensville, Mich.) shot just 54 seconds into the Golden Eagles' home opener and it was more than enough to lift Cornerstone to a 3-0 victory over Goshen College. CU added one more goal in the first and a tally in the final minute to finish off their first victory over 2015 as they now prepare to head to Massachusetts for a 3-game tour near Boston.

Game Flow
With just under a minute gone by in the 2015 home opener, junior midfielder Garrett Nimmo put away a rebound off a deflected shot from Caleb Colp to open the scoring. Colp was then the center of attention again just 17 minutes later when he got a nice feed from Diego Bobadilla (SR/Holland, Mich.) and put a shot off the keeper in which Bobadilla finished to put CU up 2-0.

That score held for the next 72 minutes under freshman Allyn Anthony (FR/Holland, Mich.) finished off his first collegiate goal on a beautiful cross from Bobadilla.

Nick Hopkins (JR/Ada, Mich.) finished the night in net with seven saves and his first shutout of 2015 after posting five as a sophomore last year.

Quotable
"Its good to start off this way at home and with this being my "last" first home game, it was great to see the team come out strong and work really hard. Hopefully we can keep it going into next week." – Senior Diego Bobadilla
