SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Coming off a tough loss to No. 17 Madonna on Wednesday, the Golden Eagles posted a sweep of Lawrence Tech on the road 25-13, 25-14, 25-17. The victory lifts Cornerstone to 5-3 on the year and 2-1 in league play. CU will come back home on Saturday to host Marygrove at 1 p.m. inside Mol Arena.
How it Happened…
Cornerstone jumped out to big leads in each of the first two sets and cruised to 12 and 11 point wins to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the match. Lawrence Tech, in their fifth year as a program now, fought hard in the third to keep it close but the Golden Eagles scored nine of the final 10 points for the 25-17 win.
Cornerstone's offense got off to a great start with a .560 hitting percentage in the opening set but cooled down a little with .370 in the second and .125 in the third.

- Cornerstone hit a season high .560 in the opening set
- Chelsea Lake (SR/Lake Odessa, Mich.) was the lone Golden Eagle to finish above 10 kills as the senior had 11
