Men’s Soccer earns point at Siena Heights in 2-2 draw

ADRIAN, Mich. – Playing their second straight match against a team with the nickname Saints, the men's soccer team earned a point on the road at Siena Heights thanks to a 2-2 draw. CU got goals from Diego Bobadilla (SR/Holland, Mich.) and Kevin Nimmo (SO/Livonia, Mich.) as they now sit at 3-5-1 overall and 1-0-1 in conference play. Cornerstone will head to Concordia on Saturday.

Game Flow…
Cornerstone got off to another solid start as Diego Bobadill gave the Golden Eagles the 1-0 lead midway through the opening half. The senior midfielder's second goal of the season came via an assists from Mbeki Johnson (SO/Toronto, Ontario). CU looked to head into the locker room up 1-0 but the Saints got the game-tying goal with just under two to play.

The Golden Eagles rebounded from the late SHU goal from the first half as Kevin Nimmo put CU back on top as he scored for the second straight match. That lead again looked safe until just under 13 minutes to play, the Saints got the equalizer, sending the match into OT.
Neither team could find the back of the net in either of the extra frames and it ended in a 2-2 draw.
