LIMA, Ohio – Cornerstone ended a short 2-match losing skid on Wednesday night as they rebounded from an opening-set loss to down the host Racers of Northwestern Ohio 3-1. Playing their second straight match in the Buckeye stats, the Golden Eagles picked up the win to improve to 12-6 on the year and 6-3 in league play. CU will host three matches this weekend beginning Friday at 4 p.m. against Great Lakes Christian.
How it Happened…
The Golden Eagles started slow with a 25-19 setback to the host Racers in the opener but recovered quickly to even the match at one with a 25-6 victory in the second.
The third set was back and forth early on but a 10-2 run gave CU a 19-11 lead in which they went on to win 25-14 and the momentum carried with them into the fourth as Cornerstone posted the 25-19 victory.

Up Next?
Cornerstone will play at home for the first time since September 16 when they host a pair of matches on Friday night. The Golden Eagles face Great Lakes Christian at 4 p.m. followed by a league match against UM-Dearborn at 7 p.m.
