Men’s Soccer travels to Marygrove and hosts Siena Heights

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The men's soccer team will get back into action on Wednesday afternoon when they hit the road for the first time in two weeks when they play at Marygrove and then they conclude the week with a Saturday night home contest vs. Siena Heights.

Scouting Marygrove – Head coach Matt Johnson (8th season)
Head coach Matt Johnson, who is in his eighth season at the helm of the Mustangs program, has his team at 5-5-2 entering this week in which they face Cornerstone and Indiana Tech, both at home. The Mustangs have lost two out of their last three matches overall with a win over Lourdes coming last weekend. Mario Morana and Gbenga Ayanwale lead Marygrove with four goals each.
 
History vs. the Mustangs
Cornerstone has an overall record of 4-4 against Marygrove but the Mustangs have won the last three meetings including a 2-0 win last season in Detroit. The last win for CU came in 2012 during the WHAC Tournament in which they won 4-0.

Scouting Siena Heights – Head coach Aldo Zid (21st season)
Veteran head coach Aldo Zid and his Saints are 4-5-1 overall and 1-3-0 in the WHAC entering play this week in which they will face Lourdes on Wednesday. Leading thr Saints on offense is Rahbar Khan who has a team-best four goals.
 
History vs. the Saints
Since 1998, the Golden Eagles are 14-15-3 against their foes from Adrian. Last year, the two teams played to a 2-2 draw but CU had won the last four meetings prior to that and their last loss came in 2009 when the Saints won 1-0.
