GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The No. 8 ranked Men's Basketball team opens its 2016-17 season tomorrow night as they play host to the ninth annual WHAC/CL Challenge. Cornerstone welcomes in Spring Arbor University for their season opener at 8 p.m. as Aquinas and No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan get the "Challenge" started at 6 p.m. inside Mol Arena. Catch both games live on the Cornerstone Sports Network (CSPN).

Scouting Spring Arbor – Head coach Ryan Cottingham
The Cougars, under the direction of head coach Ryan Cottingham, are looking to regain significance in the Crossroads League as they have gone just 8-22 in 2015-16 and 13-18 the year before. The last winning record for SAU came in 2012-13 when they went 22-13 before advancing to the third round of the NCCAA National Tournament. Leading the way for SAU this season will be their leading scorer from last year Caleb Hogans as well as the return of Xavier Prather.

Scouting Indiana Wesleyan – Head coach Greg Tonagel
The defending NAIA DII national champions are under the direction of Head Coach Greg Tonagel. The Wildcats have won two out of the last three national titles and enter the season ranked No. 2 in the Top-25 coaches' poll. Leading the way are preseason All-CL 1st Team selections Lane Mahurin and Bob Peters. Jacob Johnson joins those two on the second team.
