No. 21 Indiana Tech downs Women’s Hoops 82-50

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 21 Indiana Tech Warriors controlled the game from start to finish taking down Cornerstone by 32 points in an 82-50 victory. The Golden Eagle record moves back to .500 at 5-5, 3-2 WHAC as they get set to travel to Lourdes University on Wednesday for a 6:00 p.m. tip.

Game Flow
Indiana Tech got off to a hot start shooting, going on a 10-3 run to begin the game with a pair of three pointers by Kendall Knapke and Taylor Seiss that led to a 27-16 score after one quarter of play. Cornerstone could not get anything going offensively as the Warriors pulled down 22 first half defensive rebounds limiting the Golden Eagle chances, and holding CU to just 24 first half points.

IIT poured it on in the third quarter, outscoring CU 29-9 on their way to a game high 37-point lead at the end of the period thanks to a game high 28 points by Keanna Gary. Cornerstone was able to cut into the Indiana Tech lead in the fourth quarter but ultimately fell 82-50. Shaina DenBesten led the Golden Eagles with a perfect 4-4 shooting for a team high eight points, while Taryn Sack recorded a game high three assists for CU.

By the Numbers
30-20 – Indiana Tech hit 10 more field goals than the Golden Eagles in the game.
30 – CU brought down a season low 30 rebounds with 10 of those being offensive rebounds.
3 – Taryn Sack had a season high three assists in today's game.
