SYLVANIA, Ohio – After holding an early 11 point first half lead, Lourdes battled back forcing the Golden Eagles to earn a tough 81-75 road win in overtime. A late technical foul by the Gray Wolves proved costly allowing Cornerstone to regain a two-possession lead with under a minute to go in overtime that earned CU the victory, moving them to 6-5, 4-2 WHAC. The Golden Eagles will return home to open a season long three game home stand vs. Madonna on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Golden Eagles continued the early shooting success in the second quarter earning a game high 11-point lead helped along by an eight point quarter from Cass Vredevoogd, resulting in a halftime score of 35-26.

Lourdes found their stride in the second half earning 12 steals that resulted in easy buckets to bring them back into the game. Cornerstone battled back with an 8-2 run in the final 2:52, topped off by a pair of clutch free throws by Emma Lockhart with nine seconds remaining bringing the game to overtime.
