GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – In their final match before the annual spring break trip, the Cornerstone women's tennis team fell to No. 5 Cardinal Stritch 9-0 on Saturday afternoon. The loss drops CU to 0-6 on the season as they will search for their first win of the year on March 5 in Florida against Ave Maria.
Doubles Highlights – Cornerstone won just three games in the doubles portion as the duo of Kali Holmes (FR/Davidson, Mich.) and Tori Young (FR/Davidson, Mich.) fell 8-2 at No. 3 and the team of Heidi Boesl (SR/Coos Bay, Ore.) and Ashley Greene (SR/Rockford, Mich.) fell 8-1 at No. 1.
Singles Highlights – All six matches went just two sets with Kali Holmes recording the closest loss at No. 5 – a 6-1, 6-2 setback.
Next Up? Cornerstone is now off until their spring break trip to Florida where they will start on March 5 against Ave Maria.
