LAKELAND, Fla. – The Cornerstone women's tennis team fell to NCAA DII Saginaw Valley State University on Wednesday to fall to 0-10 on the year and 0-4 in their trip to Orlando for spring break. The Golden Eagles will look to break through for their first win on Thursday when they face Webber International (Fla.) at 2 p.m.
Doubles Highlights – Cornerstone played solid in the doubles portion as they had two close matches but ultimately fell in all three. Kali Holmes (FR/Davidson, Mich.) and Tori Young (FR/Davidson, Mich.) had the closest score of 8-4.
Singles Highlights – The six singles matches were controlled by the Cardinals as they only allowed the Golden Eagles to win four total games in as they swept CU 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 and No. 6 courts.
Next Up? Cornerstone will face Webber International in their final match of spring break on Thursday at 2 p.m.
