ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Cornerstone women's tennis team picked up their first win of the season on Friday afternoon as the Golden Eagles defeated Concordia 5-4. The victory comes in the team's second to last regular season match as they will play Aquinas next Friday.
Doubles Highlights – CU took two of the three doubles matches as the duo of Heidi Boesl and Ashley Greene won 8-6 at No. 1 while Nicole Huizenga and Rachel Kono won 8-5 at No. 2.
Singles Highlights – The Golden Eagles then split the singles matches as the received victories from Boesl (No. 1 – 6-1, 6-0), Greene (No. 2 – 6-1, 6-1) and Huizenga (No. 3 – 7-5, 6-2).
Next Up? Cornerstone is now off until the regular season finale next Friday at Aquinas.
