FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Golden Eagles travelled down to Indiana Tech to open WHAC play today and they finished with a 6-3 loss to the Warriors. The match was the first one in the conference season for Cornerstone as they will resume WHAC play on Friday vs. Northwestern Ohio.
Doubles Highlights – Cornerstone (Tori Young/Alyssa Putnam) picked up a forfeit in the #3 doubles match.
Singles Highlights – #5 Singles player Tori Young (FR/Davidson, Mich.) continued to play well and picked up the only victory for the Golden Eagles winning 6-2, 6-1 over Helen Wourms. Rachel Kono took her match to three sets and lost a heartbreaker 12-10 in the 3rd set.
Next Up? Cornerstone will host #11 Northwestern Ohio on Friday, April 8th at 4:00. That match will be played at Northpointe High School.
