GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Head coach
Ryan Campbell and the CU volleyball team will open its 2016 campaign at the Trinity Christian College/Saint Xavier Crossover in Chicago this weekend. The Golden Eagles will open play at 5 p.m. EST against Judson and finish Friday play at 9 p.m. EST against the host Trolls of Trinity Christian. CU will then play Saint Francis (Ill.) and Bethel (Ind.) on Saturday. Live stats will be available for all four matches.

SCOUTING JUDSON UNIVERSITY
Jill Rokosik is in her fifth year at the helm of Judson's Women's Volleyball Program and the Eagles enter Friday's contest with a 2-0 mark this season. JU defeated Indiana Northwest and Lincoln Christian over the past week and they are led by a pair of seniors, four juniors, two sophomores and six freshman. So far in 2016, Judson has been led on offense by Jennifer Donnell who leads the CCAC in kills per set (3.4) while Natalie Ricca is the team leader in assists per set at 10.0.

SCOUTING TRINITY CHRISTIAN
Bill Schepel has been the head coach of the volleyball program for the past nine seasons. During his tenure he has built an impressive 259-123 record and has developed one of the top teams in the conference. So far in 2016, the Trolls are 2-2 as they defeated Bethel and Cardinal Stritch at the Bethel Pilot Invitational last weekend. TCC is led by a balanced offense as Danie Oeverman (2.31 kills per set) and Kacie Stoll (2.33 kills per set).

SCOUTING SAINT FRANCIS
This will be the first matches of the season for the Fighting Saints under 15th year head coach Cara Currier. Saint Francis went 20-22 last season and will open play on Friday against Davenport and Marian. The Saints concluded their 2015 campaign with a loss to Trinity Christian in the CCAC Tournament championship match.

SCOUTING BETHEL
First year head coach Rachelle Wiegand and the Pilots enter the weekend with an 0-5 overall record as they went 0-4 at their own invitational last weekend before falling in a non-conference tilt to city-rival Indiana at South Bend. The Pilots feature just two seniors on the roster and their team leader is Zoe Wolfenbarger who is tops in kills per set.
