No. 11 Lourdes up next for Volleyball team

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After posting three impressive wins over Aquinas, Northwestern Ohio and Indiana Tech last week, the schedule only continues to get stronger for the CU Volleyball team. The Golden Eagles (10-6, 4-0 WHAC) head to No. 11 Lourdes on Wednesday before taking part in the Panther Invitational, hosted by Davenport, over the weekend.

SCOUTING LOURDES
Lourdes, under seventh year head coach Greg Reitz, has had the upperhand on all WHAC teams since the start of 2015. The Gray Wolves are currently on a 30-match winning streak against WHAC foes and that includes a 5-0 mark this year. Overall, LU is 10-3 and has been led by a stout offense that ranks 8th in the country in hitting percentage (.263) and ninth in kills per set (13.4).

SCOUTING TRINITY CHRISTIAN
The Trolls, under ninth year head coach Bill Schepel, enter the week with an overall record of 7-7 while they are 2-1 in CCAC play. TCC will face IU-South Bend before heading to Grand Rapids this weekend. The Trolls are led on offense by Kacie Stoll who is averaging 2.80 kills per set while Rachel Verhage (2.43) and Danie Oeverman (2.23) are just behind.

SCOUTING CARDINAL STRITCH
The Wolves enter the week having struggled in their past tournament as they enter on a 4-match losing streak. Head coach Cassandra Marx saw her team go 0-4 at the Olivet Nazarene tourney last weekend in which they played two top-10 opponents as well as the defending national champions from Columbia College. Leading the way for CSU is Taylor Hegg who is averaging 3.19 kills per set while Kendyl Danelski is just behind her at 3.13.

SCOUTING OLIVET NAZARENE
The Tigers have played a very difficult schedule under 21st year head coach Brenda Williams. ONU has played six teams that are either in the Top-25 or receiving votes and enter the week with an overall record of 7-7. The Tigers play a conference match on Tuesday vs. Governors State. Offensively, the Tigers have been led by Jeslyn Roat who is averaging 3.1 kills per set.
