SYLVANIA, Ohio – In a matchup of two of the last three undefeated teams in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, it was the host, Lourdes University, who posted a 3-0 sweep of visiting Cornerstone. The No. 12 ranked Gray Wolves handed CU their first league loss as it drops them to 10-7 overall and 4-1 in the WHAC. Cornerstone will play in the Panther Invitational, hosted by Davenport, on Friday and Saturday as they take on Trinity Christian, Cardinal Stritch and Olivet Nazarene.

Lourdes, the second highest ranked opponent so far on the Cornerstone schedule, made quick work of the Golden Eagles in the opening set as they took a relatively close set early on (9-8 LU lead) and scored 16 of the final 21 points for the 25-13 win. LU hit .342 with 16 kills in the 12-point win.
The second set was back and forth until the early 20's but the Gray Wolves scored five of the final seven points for the 25-22 win. CU connected on a match-best 16 kills while hitting at a .289 clip but the Gray Wolves had 17 kills at a .382 mark.
Lourdes then put away Cornerstone with a 25-17 win in the third to complete their 31
st straight match against a WHAC foe.

Cornerstone will head to Davenport on Friday and Saturday to compete in the Panther Invitational. CU will play Trinity Christian (3pm) and Cardinal Stritch (7:30pm) on Friday and then will finish the tourney against Olivet Nazarene on Saturday at 10 a.m.
