Men’s Basketball closes first half of WHAC slate at UNOH

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The first half of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference schedule comes to a close this Wednesday when No. 1 Cornerstone heads to No. 21 Northwestern Ohio for a second straight Top-25 matchup for the Golden Eagles. CU then comes back home for the first time since December 17 when they host Concordia on Saturday afternoon.

Scouting Northwestern Ohio – Head coach Chris Adams (10th Season)
The Racers of UNOH, under head coach Chris Adams, come into the week with a 13-5 overall record while they are 8-2 in league action. UNOH fell in their last outing to Indiana Tech but had won six of their previous seven games before that setback. The Racers have been led on offense by All-WHAC selection Lawrence Jackson who is averaging 16.7 points per game as a senior. Recent WHAC Player of the Week selection Sadeeq Bello is just behind Jackson at 15.2 points per night while Corbin Pierce joins them in double-figures at 13.9. UNOH ranks No. 8 nationally in rebounds per game (31.7) and No. 13 in FT% (.759).

Scouting Concordia – Head coach Ricky Yahn (4th Season)
Fourth year head coach Ricky Yahn and the Cardinals enter the week 7-10 overall and 4-7 in the WHAC. Concordia fell in overtime last time out against Aquinas and faces Madonna at home on Wednesday night. The Cardinals have been led on offense by four players who average in double-figures led by Jerald Booker (17.0) and Connor Phee (16.9).  As a team, CUAA puts up 73.4 points per night while allowing 74.7.
