ADRIAN, Mich. – Siena Heights outscored the Golden Eagles 20-8 in the opening quarter and 22-13 in the closing one as they posted a 73-50 win over Cornerstone on Wednesday night. Sophomore Jesse Sheridan scored a game-high 26 points in the loss as CU falls to 11-12 on the year and 8-7 in league play. Cornerstone will return to action Saturday when they play at Madonna University
 
Game Flow
Siena Heights, which fell to the Golden Eagles back in November in Grand Rapids, came out on fire to start the game as they scored the game's first five points and 14 of the first 16. CU responded by finishing the quarter on a 6-4 spurt but the Saints again pulled ahead in the second as they went into the locker room leading 34-18.

The Golden Eagles showed some fight in the third behind the offensive play of Sheridan as they trimmed the lead down to as little as 11 but a late run by the Saints upped the lead back to 14 at the end of the third and CU would get no closer, eventually falling by 23.

Cornerstone will stay on the road for their second straight game when they take on Madonna on Saturday at 1 p.m.
