80’s Night vs. Aquinas highlights pair of WHAC matchups for Volleyball

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A rivalry showdown with Aquinas on 80's night highlights a 2-match week for the nationally ranked volleyball team at Cornerstone as they also will face Lawrence Tech on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles, under head coach Ryan Campbell, are 20-6 overall and 9-1 in league action.

SCOUTING AQUINAS
Second year head coach Rick Schroeder has the Saints 15-10 overall and fresh off ive consecutive wins entering the contest on Wednesday at Cornerstone. Defensively, Marissa Spetoskey has been named the WHAC Defender of the Week two weeks in a row and that also includes the national award on October 10. Offensively, junior setter Stephanie Chenlo runs the offense while Kristin Danielson (235) and Kylie Christensen (206) are the leaders in kills.

SCOUTING LAWRENCE TECH
Cornerstone's final crossover match with the East Division features a much improved Lawrence Tech team under first year head coach Ed Ruhl. LTU is 18-11 coming into the week and is second in the East Division at 6-3 in the WHAC. The Blue Devils have been led by Briana Reum who is averaging 3.0 kills per set and is hitting at a .208 clip on the outside. Kristi Doherty runs the offense as the sophomore averages 10.0 assists per set.
