GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After a big week last week that featured a pair of 1-0 victories over Lourdes and UNOH, the Golden Eagles will conclude their season with a pair of crucial WHAC matches against Aquinas and UM-Dearborn. Friday's match against UM-Dearborn will be the annual Night of Nets match as well as senior night. The game at Aquinas will have live vide, stats, and audio available. Scouting Aquinas
After finishing the 2016 season with a 6-10 overall record, Aquinas has jumped out to a 12-4 overall record, 7-2 in the WHAC, and is receiving votes nationally. Aquinas enters the week with a four-game win streak. The Saints have a 6-1 record on their home turf this season, with the only loss being a 4-3 overtime loss to RV Madonna. The Saints are led in scoring by sophomore Alex Mendez, who has tallied 12 goals and 7 assists in 15 games. Jacob Bedi has scored 10 goals and 3 assists. Mendez and Bedi have combined for 121 shots. Theoren Collison has allowed 16 goals in 10 games as the goalkeeper, compiling a .787 save percentage.
Scouting UM-Dearborn
UM-Dearborn enters the week with a 5-9 overall record, 2-7 in the WHAC. Their conference victories came against Siena Heights and Rochester. Ali Khcheiche leads the squad with six goals on seven shots on goal, while Chad Schmerheim leads the team in assists with three. UM-Dearborn has been outscored by their opponents 42-16, and have been outshot 295-106. Dylon DaSilva has a .675 save percentage in 13 games as goalkeeper.

Since 1973, Aquinas and Cornerstone have played 68 matches. The Golden Eagles lead the series with a 32-29-7 record. Last year,
Josue Uquillas scored the game-winning goal in overtime to defeat Aquinas 2-1. Four of the eight games since 2012 have gone into OT.
