GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The No. 18 ranked Golden Eagle volleyball team plays a pair of big matches this week as they head to Lourdes on Wednesday before hosting Siena Heights on Friday. The Gray Wolves and Saints are both tied for third behind Cornerstone in the regular season standings.

SCOUTING LOURDES
Head coach Greg Reitz has the Gray Wolves fighting for a top-4 finish in the regular season WHAC standings as they enter the week 18-8 overall and 9-3 in league play. Lourdes has been led by a balanced offense that has six different players between 123 and 235 kills. Freshman Jami Markus has taken over the setting role as she now leads the team with 516 assists while two-time WHAC Defensive Player of the Week Angelica Dippold is tops on the team with 420 digs.

SCOUTING SIENA HEIGHTS
The Saints, under head coach Kim Berrington, bring a 23-4 overall record into the week and they are tied for third in the league standings with Lourdes at 9-3. SHU will take on Concordia on Wednesday at home before heading to Grand Rapids on Friday. The Saints have been led by a stout defense that is No. 9 in the country in Digs/Set (19.2). A senior-laden team features Amanda Metz running the offense as the setter is putting up 8.8 assists/set and ranks inside the Top-50 nationally in Total Assists (861). Offensively, SHU has been led by Christine Tylutki who is averaging 2.6 kills per set.
