WYOMING, Mich. – Six different Golden Eagles tabbed double-digit scoring performances in a 78-58 win over the Grace Bible College Tigers.
Mya Udell tallied a career high 17 points while
Shelby Nyboer recorded her first career double-double in the win, moving CU to 6-8 on the year. Cornerstone will quickly pick play back up with a huge road game at conference front-runner No. 22 Lawrence Tech tomorrow at 1 p.m.
Game Flow
After a bit of a slow first few minutes, the Golden Eagles went on a 12-2 run in the middle of the opening quarter to get up by a game high 13 points, 23-16. Grace would cut the lead down to just four in the second quarter, but another run by Cornerstone that saw three straight buckets from
Cass Vredevoogd helped CU go back up by 13 at 43-30.
Mya Udell was shooting lights out from deep, going 5-6 from behind the arc in the first half for a team high 15 points.
Grace Bible came out firing to begin the third, cutting the CU lead to just two at 43-41. CU would then answer with an 11-0 run to get back up by 13. Cornerstone would then dominate the fourth quarter, bringing the lead up to a game high 20 points behind the scoring of
Lizzy Otten and
Shaina DenBesten to win 78-58.
