Game Flow
Both Cornerstone and Aquinas got off to a very slow shooting start as a total of six points combined were scored through the first four minutes of the game. Aquinas came out in the second half with strong intentions to mount a comeback, but CU shut down all of those hopes having a response to every AQ bucket resulting in a 49-36 score after three quarters of play. The Saints continued to fight in the fourth, cutting the deficit to just seven with 2:37 to go in the game, but a couple late buckets by

"We did what we had to do to earn a road win and clinch a spot in the tournament. I thought our girls did a great job of responding to Aquinas' efforts to get back into the game throughout the second half, and we need to continue play that way as we move forward." – Head Coach, Katie Matera
