The opening field goal of the game was a three-pointer by Cory Cox as he continues his assault on the CU record book, but that was one of very few field goals in the opening 10 minutes for either team. With CU leading 9-5, the two teams combined for 5/26 from the field. CU used a late spurt including a late triple by Cory Cox to take a 35-26 lead into the locker room.

The big men then took over in the second half, as Kyle Steigenga and Sam Vander Sluis would go on to combine for 45 points and 22 rebounds for the game. CU outscored the Blue Devils by 17 in the second half.
