CLERMONT, Fla. – The Golden Eagles dropped both games on Friday after losing to No. 7 Marian 9-1 in five innings, and Trinity Christian 5-3 after a hard-fought battle. The two losses puts Cornerstone to 3-9 on the season heading into Saturday nights Florida finale against Saint Xavier and Saint Ambrose.

Cornerstone 1 – Marian 9 –
Rachel Younts started the second inning with a double off the fence in centerfield. She came around to score off a groundout by
Moriah Wilke. The rest of the game was all Marian. They scored four runs in the third, three runs in the fourth, and two runs in the fifth to end it by mercy.
Caitlyn Hartline had two of the team's three hits.
Cornerstone 3 – Trinity Christian 5 – Things fell in Cornerstone's favor for the majority of the game, but a five-run sixth inning propelled the Trolls to a victory.
Rachel Chriss led off both the second and fourth innings with base hits, and scored both times. She scored off the bat of
Brooke Leonard in the second and
Jessica Wright in the fourth.
Chelsey Kriger tacked on the third run by scoring off a wild pitch. Up until the rough sixth inning,
Brooke Leonard was strong in the circle, striking out seven batters.
