HAMMOND, Ind. – After nearly 10 days off since their Florida trip, the Golden Eagles traveled to Indiana to take on Purdue Northwest in a non-conference doubleheader. CU won the first game 5-3 and the second game 6-2. The pair of victories puts Cornerstone at 5-11 on the year. Cornerstone will play a doubleheader on Saturday at Olivet College before hosting Davenport next week Wednesday in their conference opener.

Game 1: Cornerstone 5 – Purdue NW 3
Rachel Younts recorded all three of Cornerstone's hits and drove in four of the five runs. She had a two-RBI single in the first inning, an RBI triple in the third, and an infield RBI single in the fifth.
Annie Fila drove in the other run with a sacrifice fly in the first inning.
Brooke Leonard surrendered 12 hits over seven innings, but was able to work her way out of several jams. PNW stranded a total of 13 runners on base.
Game 2: Cornerstone 6 – Purdue NW 2
A four-run second inning propelled the Golden Eagles to a victory in game two.
Mackenzie Vallad added a pair of insurance runs in the sixth inning with a two-RBI single. Vallad, Younts, and
Jessica Wright all finished with two hits in game two.
Younts pitched a complete game in the circle with a season-high six strikeouts.
