CLERMONT, Fla. – The Golden Eagles defeated Mount Vernon Nazarene 4-3 before falling to Trinity Christian 13-0 for their third consecutive split of the spring break trip on Monday. The split leaves Cornerstone at 3-3 on tye year and Tuesday's action will feature games against Marian University and Cardinal Stritch University.

Cornerstone 4 – Mount Vernon Nazarene 3 – Mount Vernon got on the board first with a run in the fourth inning. With the bases loaded and nobody out in the sixth inning,
Rachel Younts hit a solid line drive to centerfield, scoring two runs. Later in that inning, two more runs scored off the bat of
Moriah Wilke. A couple of Mount Vernon RBI singles made it 4-3 in the seventh before
Brooke Leonard got a strikeout and a flyout to end the game with the would-be tying run on second base.
