7-2 outcome favors Men’s Tennis in battle of #RV teams

LAKELAND, Fla. – In another early season test against Southeastern, the RV Golden Eagles posted an impressive 7-2 win. The victory against the RV Fire lifts Cornerstone to 9-2 on the season as they will resume play on Thursday against Ave Maria University.
 
 
Doubles Highlights: Cornerstone picked up a pair of close wins in the doubles' session as Marc Lerch/Francisco Fernandez won 8-6 on the top court and Grant Morton/Dan Ribbink won 9-7 on the third court. CU finished the sweep as Austin Hendrick and Sam Ottosen won 8-2 on the middle court.
 
 
Singles Highlights: Cornerstone then took four of the six singles matches to claim the 7-2 win over the Fire. Fernandez won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 while Morton (4-6, 6-1, 10-4) and Ottosen (3-6, 6-0, 10-4) came back from first-set losses to win in three. Hendrick won by retirement
 
 
Next Up? Cornerstone will have two more matches in Florida as they face Ave Maria on Thursday and No. 3 Keiser on Saturday,
