GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Golden Eagles played a pair of games on their home field for the first time this season on Tuesday afternoon as they hosted Rochester. Cornerstone took game one, 9-0 in five innings, while they held on to win game two 2-1. The two victories put CU at 9-23 overall heading into a trio of conference doubleheaders later this week.

Game 1 – Cornerstone got on the board with a run in the first inning, then added five in the third and four in the fourth to win by mercy, 9-0.Â
Moriah Wilke went 3-for-3 with four RBI.
Caitlyn Hartline had two hits and scored two runs.
Brooke Leonard pitched all five innings, allowed only three hits, and earned the complete game shutout.

Game 2 – The Golden Eagles struck first thanks to an RBI single by
Rachel Younts in the first inning. Rochester tied it up at 1-1 in the third inning.
Jessica Wright broke the tie in the fourth inning with an RBI double to center.
Rachel Younts earned the win on the mound after pitching all seven innings.
