GOSHEN, Ind. – The Golden Eagles earned a big 2-1 victory on their short one game road trip at Goshen to move back above .500 on the season. CU is now 3-2-1 on the year overall as the inch closer and closer to beginning the conference season. Next up for Cornerstone will be the final non-conference game of the season vs. Taylor University on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

The Golden Eagles dominated from the opening whistle to the final whistle recording 22 shots, while holding Goshen to just two on the match. CU got on the board first on
Tori Johns second goal of the week that came in the 37
th minute to go up 1-0 headed into halftime.
Hannah Sell then gave CU what ended up being the game winning goal on a goal that came from a through ball up the middle of the field to go up 2-0. Goshen was able to find the net in the 58
th minute on a free kick that goalkeeper Katie Baer put in from just outside the 18-yard box. That was the only goal the Maple Leafs could find though, as CU came out with a 2-1 win on the road.

- Mikayla Johnson had a light 90 minutes in net, not having to record a save on the match.
- Hanna Sell led the team in shots with five, three of those being on goal.
- Cornerstone has beat Goshen in 17 consecutive appearances.
