Box Score SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Golden Eagles returned to the field on Tuesday evening to conclude their non-conference schedule against the 24th-ranked Cougars. After a scoreless first half, a goal four minutes into the second half boosted Spring Arbor over Cornerstone, 1-0. The Golden Eagles drop to 1-3-1 overall heading into Saturday's WHAC opener against Lawrence Tech.
Game Flow
The teams traded scoring chances throughout the first half, but ended up going into halftime at 0-0. Spring Arbor had an 11-4 advantage in shots at the break. SAU found the back of the net early in the second half and retained the lead for the remainder of the match. Cornerstone, however, put up a solid comeback effort as they had two corner kicks and three shot attempts in the final five minutes.
