JOLIET, Ill. – Cornerstone got off to a fast start on the road against Saint Francis, but ultimately fell 3-2 on a penalty kick with just two seconds remaining in regulation. Game Flow…
Cornerstone once again got off to a fast start, scoring in the 20

Morgan Haddad rip from just outside the box that curled inside the far post to go up 1-0. CU then found the net again just a minute later on a free kick by
Savannah Petty that was deflected past the diving Saint Francis keeper.
The Saints were able to dampen the Golden Eagles momentum just before the half, when Casey Harris scored her second goal of the year in the 41
st minute to cut the CU lead to 2-1. Saint Francis then picked up the offensive tempo in the second half tying the game at two in the 68
th minute.
The heartbreak came for the Golden Eagles with just two seconds left on the clock, when a foul inside the box gave the Saints a penalty kick opportunity that was converted by senior Karley Draheim, allowing them to walk away with a 3-2 victory.
