GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Golden Eagles remained as the No. 1 team in the latest NAIA DII Top-25 Poll that was released on Tuesday and they will play their next three games inside the friendly confines of Mol Arena starting Wednesday with a visit from Lourdes. CU will then host Madonna on Saturday as they have eight remaining games in the 2017-18 regular season schedule.

Scouting Lourdes – Head coach Josh Gibson
The Gray Wolves and second year head coach Josh Gibson, come into the week with an overall record of 10-11 while they are 3-9 in WHAC play. Lourdes has won two of its last three games overall with victories over #RV UM-Dearborn and Siena Heights while falling in their last outing to Aquinas 73-39. The Gray Wolves are led on offense by Malik Thurman who is averaging 10.0 points per game and he is followed by Clif Snow who is putting up 10.2 points per night. As a team, LU averages 68.0 while giving up 67.2 which ranks seventh in the country in Scoring Defense.

Scouting Madonna – Head coach Noel Emenhiser
The Crusaders and veteran head coach Noel Emenhiser have been a hot team as of late as they have posted wins in four of their last six games including a thrilling OT upset win over No. 5 Indiana Tech. Madonna, 14-8 overall and 7-5 in the WHAC, fell to Aquinas 71-70 on Saturday and will have Wednesday off befoe facing Cornerstone in Grand Rapids on Saturday. MU has been led this season by a robust offense that has six players averaging at least 8.8 points per game led by Joshua Reynolds at 14.6 and Chris Dierker at 12.9. Dierker also pulls down a team best 6.5 boards.
