Women’s Soccer nets four goals on a cold senior night

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- The lady Golden Eagles win their third straight game with a 4-0 shutout victory verses Cleary University at Cornerstone's Soccer Field on Saturday afternoon. Kaylee Phillips, Hannah Sell, Alyssa Dykstra, Shelby VanLaar, Savannah Petty, and Meredith Haddad were all honored prior to the match for senior night. CU moves to 8-7-0, 4-5-0 WHAC with the dominant performance against the Cougars. Next up for the Golden Eagles their final home match as they take on Lawrence Tech on Tuesday at 7:00pm.
 
What you need to know
-     Cornerstone out shot the Cleary Cougars 13-2 in the game and four of those shots by the Golden Eagles were goals.
-     The only goal scored in the first half was netted by Alexys Riksen for her eighth goal of the season.
-     The second half scoring burst was sparked by Kaylee Phillips. She scored her fourth goal of the season off of a pass from Savannah Petty.
-     Savannah Petty also scored her first goal of the season in the 70th minute of the match. Madison Radcliffe had her first assist of the season on the score by Petty.
-     The game was capped off by a quick dribble and score from Phoebe LaCroix with only three minutes remaining in the game.
