MARION, Ind. – The no. 15 Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats were too much for the Golden Eagles, dropping CU by a score of 89-39 on Tuesday evening. The CU offense was unable to get anything going against the intense Wildcat defense, shooting just 25.4% from the field and going one for 21 from the three-point line. Cornerstone is now 0-3 to begin the year for the second consecutive season as they get set to return home to Mol Arena to take on another tough Crossroads League opponent in receiving votes Huntington.

- The Wildcats of Indiana Wesleyan began the game on an 8-0 run to hold a 25-15 lead at the end of the first quarter.
- Taylor Richards recorded a team high six points in the first quarter on 3-4 shooting.
- Indiana Wesleyan dominated the second quarter going on a 12-4 run in the first five minutes and an 13-4 run in the final five minutes.
- The Wildcat defense was dominant as expected, holding the Golden Eagles to a season low 23 points in the first half and 33.3% from the field.
- Cornerstone trailed 50-23 at the half. Taylor Richards and Shelby Nyboer each had six points in the first half.
- The IWU defense continued to be a nightmare for the Golden Eagles in the third quarter as they were only able to score five points in the period.
- Freshman Megan Bower got some playing time in the fourth quarter and was able to hit the lone three for the Golden Eagles in the 89-39 loss.
