Men’s Hoops to host Cornerstone Classic Nov. 2-3

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Three nationally ranked teams will play in the Cornerstone Classic this weekend as the No 7 ranked Golden Eagles open the home portion of their schedule. CU will be joined by No. 5 Indiana Tech, No. 16 Saint Francis (Ind.) and Taylor University (Ind.) in the tournament with all four games being broadcast live on the CSPN. Cornerstone will play their home opener on Friday night against the Trojans at 8 p.m.

Scouting Taylor University – Head coach Josh Andrews
The Trojans, led by 6th year head coach Josh Andrews, are looking for their first win of the season after dropping a 2-point decision to UNOH earlier this week. Taylor, who made the national tournament in 2016-17, posted a 16-15 record last year, return their starting five that averaged over 80 points per game and will be led by the junior backcourt duo of Ryan Robinson and Mason Degenkolb.

Scouting #16 Saint Francis – Head coach Chad LaCross
The Cougars, under the direction of 9th year head coach Chad LaCross, graduated three of the best players to ever put on a USF uniform in Bryce Lienhoop, Evan Henry and Derek Hinen but still return a solid core led by Connor Lautzenheiser, Chandler White and Austin Compton. USF will start their 2018-19 campaign on Friday against #5 Indiana Tech.
