GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Golden Eagles would get down 22-4 early and it was just too much to overcome as Siena Heights defeated Cornerstone 78-60 on Saturday afternoon. CU is now 1-8 on the year and 0-2 in conference play. The schedule will not get any easier for the Golden Eagles as the will travel to rival and receiving votes Aquinas on Tuesday for a 6 p.m. tip.

- Cornerstone's offense struggled to get started being held scoreless by the saints for the first 6:30 of the game.
- CU scored a season low four points in the first quarter and trailed 16-4.
- Siena Heights began the second quarter on a 6-0 run to increase their lead to 22-4 and force CU into a timeout.
- Shelby Nyboer led the Golden Eagles with nine points at the half as CU trialed 37-19.
- Emma Johnson sparked the Golden Eagles to outscore Siena Heights 21-20 in the third quarter with five points in under a minute. Cornerstone trailed by 17 at the end of the third quarter.
- CU was able to cut it to as low as 12 in the fourth quarter but would fall by a final score of 78-60.
- Shelby Nyboer kept her hot streak going, scoring 21 points to go along with six rebounds.
- Emma Johnson tallied a career high nine points in the loss.
