GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone found themselves down by 10 after one quarter and by 11 at halftime but a strong second half came up just short as the Golden Eagles fell 61-57 at Aquinas on Tuesday night. The loss drops CU to 1-9 overall and 0-3 in WHAC play as they will host IU-Northwest on Saturday at 2 p.m. inside Mol Arena.

- CU trailed by just four (12-8) but a 6-0 run to end the first gave AQ a 10-point lead
- The lead grew by only one after the second quarter as both offenses had it going with AQ outscoring CU 17-16
- Cornerstone outscored Aquinas 17-10 in the third as they made 8-15 shots from the field
- CU had the lead down to just three (58-55) after a Shelby Nyboer layup
- After a Mya Udell jumper, CU cut the lead to just one with 18.5 remaining
- AQ missed four straight FT's to keep CU in it, but made 3 of their final 4 to ice the game
