GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone grabbed control of the match with a 25-18 opening set win but the visiting Milligan Buffaloes took sets 2-4 to claim a 3-1 win in the 2018 NAIA Volleyball Opening Round match inside Mol Arena. The loss ends the season for the Golden Eagles at 30-10 overall.

• Cornerstone won the opening set 25-18 while hitting .303 on 14 kills
• Milligan's offense lifted them to a 25-18 win in the second with 19 kills (.444)
• The teams battled in the third set with MC pulling out a close 26-24 win
• CU fell behind big in the fourth and closed to tie it late but MC posted the 25-22 win
